The Team.
Your journey will be guided and supported by these incredibly passionate, experienced and integral folks. Their professionalism, expertise and deep care for this kind of work is unmatched and revered.
I have been working with plant medicine since 2015 and I am beyond thrilled to share this experience with you.
As a trauma-informed registered provisional psychologist and yoga teacher I will be supporting in co-creating this space by offering individual and group therapuetic sessions: integrating various aspects of the yogic system through prayer, movement, meditation, mindfulness, somatic work, breath, as well as other healing modalities throughout the course of the retreat. I will be there to support you on your journey.
PLANT MEDICINE
Ayahuasca or Oni, is a sacred Indigenous plant medicine that works on an energetic level with the support of a Maestro. It can help address challenges within our different layers of self (emotional, cognitive, physical, spiritual, ancestral) that might need some support in finding harmony.
Oni is considered to be relational in essence and can help us to see the relationship we have with ourselves and the world around us. This can mean looking at our internalized patterns, systemic conditioning, and traumas that influence our ways of living and relating.
It can help us reconnect fragmented aspects of mind-body-spirit, perhaps helping us move towards a feeling of whole.
'Traditional ayahuasca is a mixture of two plants. It combines the leaves of Chacruna (Psychotria viridis) and the Ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi). This entheogenic tea is a special recipe handed down from one generation to the next. It is cooked with intention, protection, and blessings given by the curandero/shaman.' - Intertwining Medicines.
We will have 4 evening ceremonies. Working with Maestro Nelson's medicine and his Icaros - his healing songs.
